Sunday lunch for the most part was very nice, just a few little niggles. I had the roast chicken, which was supposed to be breast, but came with a bone attached for some reason, and it was a little dry. The veg which was separate wasn’t very hot and I’d say a little more al dente, then I’d like. I’d like to pour my own gravy on my meal, hence asking for some extra. Our party of four, all had something different off the menu and enjoyed what was served. Can I also say that it maybe time to source your coffee from somewhere else, because it is truely terrible, and served at room temperature.

A very Beautiful and Full of History and a very Relaxed Atmosphere. They have a very Lovely outside at the rear of the Hotel for visitors, customers and Hotel Guests. Very Good selection of different Wines, Beers and Cocktails. I Highly Recommend this Excellent Hotel a Must visit and sample it's very Welcoming Food and Beverages for the Clientle. Have been going to the Crown for a long time and normally this is excellent and one of our favourites.
However today, the service was appalling. Poor from start to finish, we were told prior to 10pm that they had guests upstairs and that we were being loud.
The pub was empty apart from another table. Not only did this member of staff not appreciate regular patrons (one of us lived upstairs when their house was flooded for months). This is not normal for the Crown and we are very very disappointed.
We were going to book a nice dinner soon and now, we are not going to do this due to this experience.

I went here for a meal with my friend just before Xmas and was looking forward to it as we done the same about 3 yrs earlier and the food was good. However this time around things were very different. I don't know if there's a different chef & management but the food was medicore at best, it tasted like the whole plate of food was just reheated in the microwave. The service was okay by the women but the men were miserable and were dressed in scruffy t-shirts, the standards seem to really have dropped and not what I expected from The Crown at all.

The Crown Hotel is a charming spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere. We only stopped by for a drink, but the experience was delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The menu showcased an enticing selection of cuisines, and though we didn’t dine, the dishes we saw looked delicious and well-presented. It’s the kind of place where you could easily linger, enjoying the relaxed vibe. Whether for a meal, a quick drink, or an evening out, the Crown Hotel seems like a wonderful choice. We’ll definitely be back to try more!

Christmas Lunch, a hit as always. Great service, friendly, fast and comforting. Food was a hit as always. Can't speak for the rooms as I've never stayed but the bar and restaurant are clean, comfortable and welcoming. Do yourself a favour, pop in and have a pint or a coffee. Stay for a bite and you'll leave feeling extremely satisfied.

Called in for a lunchtime beer with friends. Great central Stamford location. Very busy and had to wait for a table but the beer was good (a Nene Valley brewery real ale). Food looked great but cannot comment on taste.

Absolutely love staying at this location in Stamford. We had an upgraded room in the garden which was just lovely and as always fab food. Breakfast was rather a busy time but still good value

What a fabulously lovely hotel & restaurant located in the heart of Stamford shopping/market area. We stayed in the family townhouse room everything just beautiful. Beautifully decorated spacious bedroom & lovely shower room. Many thanks to all your lovely team, from reception to restaurant for a truly beautiful overnight stay. Definitely 100% recommended.
